Peter and myself had a great ride back to Windhoek. Stunning roads, lots of game. We left OMA around 08:30. Lots and lots of sand around Hochfeld. A couple of water crossings. Great views.
Were back in Whk at 14:30... including lunch stops, etc 420km of brilliant fun.....

Before I get rusty, thought I'd briefly use this forum and thank you all for attending the AGM in Omaruru. Also thanks to those who sent their proxy ( how does the saying go, everything helps...). I'm sure most of you had a lekker time, especially the trip there and back. Antony and myself went around the Brandberg, closely followed by Klaus in his 4x4. Was a great trip. Lot's of rocks. They actually grow there ! We left at 09:00h, stopped in Uis, lunched around 13:30h at Fisherman's Inn, 30 km before Henties. Can be recommended. Trip was around 340 km gravel up to henties, incl. coastal road. Unfortunately Wimpie' s front tyre inner lining was defect and he rather opted to go via tarmac to the coast. The thought alone ! What a horror it must have been. But we all survived and arrived safely at our destinations.......

I was just doing my own sand riding training since we don't get offered this course. Practice makes perfect.

Yes, but I tried to drive in the Swakop River with an overflated front tyre of 4 Bar and the heaviest offroad bike and hit a deep burrow in the river. As I said - practice makes perfect and I'll keep on trying til I get it right. I tried to provide some entertainment.
